Coach Ken Eriksen has one piece of advice for coaches: Have a baserunning philosophy that you ingrain in your team.
Each coach's baserunning philosophy might stress different aspects of baserunning. One coach might stress vision and taking in information with the eyes before acting, while another coach might highlight how important it is to learn the correct running angles needed to get to second and third base. No matter what your philosophy may be, always communicate clearly and concisely with your runners so they are clear about what your expectations are.
