Purpose: To practice running cuts.
How it works: Players assemble on the field in their normal positions. Several balls are placed in the outfield. Beginning the drill from the center, instruct players to work through the cut to home. Next, go through the cut to third followed by the cut to second. Players should verbally communicate with each other and use hand motions during the drill, so they know where the throw should go.
If you have more than two middle infielders, rotate them through second base and short stop then out for one rotation and back in at second. Pitchers can work between the line to back up home and third base.
Requirements: Nine or more players, balls, gloves, a coach and a field
