What does it mean to eat pitches, and why should we do this in softball?
Coach Randy Schneider shares how the strike zone can be divided into planes. Plane 1 is the lowest at the knees. Plane 2 is belt high. Plane 3 is right under the hands. If you have certain players that do particularly well with plane 1, she can "eat pitches" at that plane until the pitcher is forced to come belt high at plane 2.
