Purpose: Learn the various ways to program and implement a typical bullpen workout that warms players up for practice and games.
How it Works: A bullpen workout should always begin with a proper warm-up before proceeding to the drill. The drill should include repetitions that focus on proper mechanics (whether the drill includes drops, screws, or different pitches). Advance the drill by working on location and proper movement throughout the mechanics portion of the workout. Before ending the workout with conditioning to build endurance (such as burpees, sprints or quick feet ladders), add in a drill that simulates a real game situation.
Requirements: Field, balls, any necessary workout equipment (bands, med balls, cones for sprinting).
