Take the time to find the right training program and trainer. Starting a young athlete on a proper training program is critical. You can find a good trainer by word of mouth or by finding a trainer that specializes in training specific to overhead sports like volleyball, baseball and softball. Shopping around for a proper skills coach may take time, but it will pay off when it keeps the athlete's body healthy.
Oftentimes, finding the extra skills and strength training can take time and money, but will ultimately benefit the athlete's performance and longevity.
