Goals are important, as we all know, but they need to be specific and easily measurable in order to create accountability. Coach Randy Schneider shares some examples of goals you can use with your team.
1. 12+ runners on base
2. 3+ extra base hits
3. 3+ great base running plays
4. 55-65% quality at bats
5. 3 ESPN defensive plays
If you accomplish 3 out of 5 of the goals listed above, you should win about 86% of your games.
However, setting goals alone isn't enough. Incentivize your team with something like pizza or ice cream so they have something to look forward to when those goals are met.
