Coaching your own child can be tricky. You may have to deal with issues like:
- Affirming your child is playing because he or she genuinely wants to, not just because you’re the coach.
- Ensuring your child understands that your role as “coach” and “parent” are separate.
- Making sure your other players and their parents are clear about your coach/parent boundaries and know what to expect as the season progresses.
