Dana Sorensen, a former NPF pro and Stanford All-American who trains athletes at the pro and juniors level, shares thoughts here on how to do personal assessments that will allow you to create a training program that best suits the athletes' needs. Among the things on her evaluation list: hips, core strength, shoulders, glute strengths and mobility.
"From knowing (that information)," Sorensen says, "we can develop a program that gets the most amount of change in the shortest period of time."
