When hitting, it’s important to swing with intent. This drill gives players an opportunity to work on hitting technique while establishing a fluid rhythm during the swing.
Purpose: To hit the ball as far as possible.
How it works: A hitter sets up next to a tee in a batting cage. A coach or teammate places a ball on the tee. The hitter loads and swings through to extension, focusing on hitting a line drive as hard as she can. Repeat for five hits, then switch batters.
Requirements: One of more players, a tee, bats, balls, a coach, and a batting cage
