Excellent points. Softball has failure built in to it and is a confidence killer. The example I use with my players is most people would say that a .400 hitter is a highly successful hitter. What else in life can you get a grade of 40% and be considered successful? As coach pointed out, it is the information you gather as you go through the process that gives you a better chance of succeeding.
